Our ethical practice is grounded in respectful, inclusive, and human centred research, ensuring lived experience is meaningfully embedded, participants are treated with dignity, and accessibility is integrated across the full research life cycle.

AccessAdvance Consulting has adopted the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS) to guide the ethical design, review, and conduct of all research involving people.

We provide comprehensive services, including:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Offering in-depth knowledge on disabilities (e.g. mental health, neurodivergence, physical and sensory), accessibility standards, accessibility supports (accommodation), and inclusive practices to guide your research.

  • Participant Recruitment: Ensuring inclusive recruitment strategies and materials to engage participants with disabilities, including consideration of potential risks, ethical concerns, and the identification of appropriate mental health supports to ensure a safe and accessible research experience.

  • Ethics and Compliance: Advising on ethical standards and accessible consent processes to protect participant rights.

  • Data Interpretation: Providing insights into the analysis of data related to disability, ensuring accurate and meaningful conclusions.

  • Knowledge Translation: Advising on how to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Knowledge Dissemination: Advising on accessible dissemination strategies for research findings, including presentations, print, and web-based formats, with additional options such as ASL interpretation, captioning, Braille, and accessible reader-focused formats including plain-language and easy-read materials.
